Something to Think About

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Dr. Adrian Rogers , 1931 - 2005

We were once a Republic. No longer. We've been a democracy for quite some time now. The only way to socialism is through democracy. The only way to communism is through socialism. We're there.

While driving the other day I turned on the radio and someone was giving this example: A school teacher who told 2 of his students who had made a 93 and a 89 on a test. The 93 having a grade of A- and the 89 a B+ grade, I'm taking 20 points from each of you, 'cuz you'll still have a passing grade and giving it to "Sue" & "Jack" because they need your 20 points to pass.

What our government is doing is just as ludicrous as that!!!!!!
